Pharmacy First Plus
Our NHS Pharmacy First service offers convenient access to professional advice and, where appropriate, NHS-funded treatment for common health conditions. At Strachan Pharmacy, our qualified team can assess your symptoms, provide expert guidance and recommend suitable treatment.
Our Independent Prescribing Pharmacists can also assess and diagnose certain conditions and prescribe appropriate medication where clinically suitable. We aim to provide accessible, timely and personalised care in a friendly, confidential pharmacy setting, helping you get the support you need without always needing a GP appointment.
Extended Range of Conditions
With independent prescribing, we can treat a wider range of conditions and provide prescription medicines where appropriate. Our prescribing pharmacists can also provide regular oral contraception to suitable patients.
If you are pregnant, diabetic, have a weakened immune system, or feel extremely unwell you should contact your GP surgery first. If you are unable to be treated by a pharmacist, they will refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional.
